STOUD AS (STOUD) is a consultancy and law firm established in Bergen in 2025. The company offers services within intellectual property (IP) law and corporate law. STOUD delivers legal services with a high degree of responsiveness and accuracy, particularly through the use of AI tools.[1] According to the company's own description, STOUD not only works with IP but also covers areas such as mergers and acquisitions, contract law and due diligence.[1]

[edit]STOUD AS was founded as a limited liability company in Norway on 11 July 2025, with its business address at Bryggen 3, 5003 Bergen, a famous UNESCO heritage site [2] The company has organisation number 935 801 966. An article in AdvokatWatch describes the launch of "the new consultancy and law firm Stoud" in Bergen and states that the firm focuses heavily on intellectual property, technology and international advisory services.[3] The article notes that the company was founded by a trio of entrepreneurs consisting of Ivar Hillestad, Espen Riseng and Lars Henrik Stoud Platou.[3]

[edit]Ivar Hillestad, Espen Riseng and Lars Henrik Stoud Platou established the company.[3] Hillestad is described as the former owner of Hill & Co and serves as chairman of the board at STOUD. Espen Riseng and Lars Henrik Stoud Platou have backgrounds as IP lawyers.
