SCG Legal
[edit]SCG Legal is a non-profit international network of independent law and public policy firms, established in 1989 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., USA. It provides a collaborative platform for member firms to deliver cross-border legal, regulatory, and governmental counsel across major jurisdictions worldwide.
Overview
[edit]SCG Legal connects 123 independent law firms operating in over 63 countries, including all U.S. states and the District of Columbia. Collectively, the network encompasses more than 12,000 attorneys. Over 80% of member firms are ranked in the Chambers and Partners legal directories.
The network was originally founded by the governors of several U.S. states to ensure that clients had access to legal counsel familiar with both the law and the policymaking process. It has since expanded into a leading global legal network.

Structure and Governance
[edit]The network is governed by a Board of Directors, with officers elected by member firms. The current Chair (2025) is M. Celeste Bruce of Rifkin Weiner Livingston (Maryland, USA), and the CEO is Alina Gorokhovsky, based in Washington, D.C.
Other board members represent firms from jurisdictions such as the Dominican Republic, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, China, and the United Kingdom, among others.
