Career

[edit]

Turner began her entertainment career in 2012 at the age of seven, debuting as a dancer on the Spanish-language variety show Sábado Gigante. Before that, she spent four years training in competitive dance, earning several national champion titles in small group divisions.[12][13] Her talent as a dancer led to appearances on Dancing with the Stars in 2014, where she participated in a live performance promoting the movie Annie and later in a tribute with Julianne and Derek Hough.[14] That same year, she made a brief appearance in the film Annie as one of the orphans.[15]

By 2016, Turner had begun transitioning into acting, landing roles on shows like Black-ish and Fuller House, where she played the recurring role of Phyllis Gladstone until 2020.[16] During this period, she also appeared in commercials and print campaigns for major brands such as Under Armour, Wells Fargo, Isabella and Chloé.[17]

Turner’s breakout role came was in 2018, when she was cast as Cameron "Cami" Wrather in the Disney Channel comedy Coop & Cami Ask the World.[18][19] The series ran for two seasons until 2020, earning her widespread recognition among young audiences. She also released a Disney Channel music video titled "Ruby Rock" showcasing her singing and dancing talents.[20][21] In 2021, she expanded into voice acting by voicing the character Sara in Netflix’s animated sci-fi series Eden.[22][23] In 2024, she starred as the young Queen of Hearts named Bridget or "Red" in Descendants: The Rise of Red with Kylie Cantrall which premiered on Disney+ on July 12, 2024.[24][25][26] Her performance was complemented by the release of her song "Life Is Sweeter" from the movie's soundtrack, which quickly went viral.[27]
