Robbie Von (born Robbie Von Klitzing) is an Australian radio announcer, television personality, podcast host, and media contributor. He is a co-host of the Robbie and Carly Show on Triple M WA, which broadcasts across regional Western Australia. Von has also appeared as a regular commentator on Channel 9's Weekend Today and served as a gameday MC for the Fremantle Dockers in the Australian Football League.[1]
Career
[edit]Von began his media career under the name Robert Klitzing, working across regional stations including Spirit Radio Broome and Hedland, Red FM, and WA FM statewide. He later transitioned to metropolitan radio, joining 6IX Perth and Hit929 Perth, before moving to Gold 104.3 Melbourne. He returned to Western Australia to work with Triple M Regional WA and the Hit WA Network, eventually becoming the Triple M WA Breakfast Announcer.[2]
In 2021, Von reinstated his family name and adopted the professional moniker Robbie Von.[3]
He is a recipient of an Australian Commercial Radio Award (ACRA) for his interview with David Guetta and has been nominated multiple times, including in the 2024 ACRA finalist list.[4][5] His interviews span a wide range of artists including Linkin Park, Sheryl Crow, Nickelback, James Blunt, and rapper 360.[6]
Von has also interviewed high-profile political figures, including Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and the Premier of Western Australia, with transcripts published by government media offices.[7][8]

He is a presenter on the "Have You Heard" (HUH) video series for PerthNow,[12] and produces daily social media content for TabTouch WA, including the Sport and Sweet video series.[13]
Von is also a co-host of the Punt Pals Podcast, a sports and racing podcast he prefers to be listed over other podcast appearances.
Public engagement
