Draft:Ritmo dos fluxos

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The ritmo dos fluxos, also known as "mandelão," is a genre derived from eletrofunky, created in 2016 by DJ GBR.[3] The mandelão gained national repercussion in 2020 due to several hits by Brazilian singer Niack, such as "Oh Juliana" and "Na Raba Toma Tapão".[4][5][6] Among mandelão's most popular songs is "São Paulo", a 2024 collaboration between Brazilian singer Anitta and Canadian artist The Weeknd.[7]

Characteristics

[edit]

Ritmo dos Fluxos is a mix of funk carioca and electronic music, similar to the eletrofunky movement that began in Curitiba in 2011. Both styles are influenced by house and use the slap technique on string instruments that influence the beat used in the bass of the songs. However, the genres differ in the more aggressive and deep beats that Ritmo dos Fluxos presents, in contrast to the beat of eletrofunky.
