Pulse Energy is an Indian software company in the electric vehicle (EV) charging sector.[1] The company develops software related to electric vehicle charging networks in India.

The company was founded in 2020 and is headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka.[2]

History

Pulse Energy was founded in 2020 by Akhil Jayaprakash and Devang Mistry.[3] The company initially operated a mobile application for electric vehicle users in India before shifting toward business-to-business software related to EV charging infrastructure.

By 2021, the company focused on developing software to support interoperability between independent EV charging networks.[4]

In 2023, Pulse Energy raised seed-stage funding from venture capital firms including Peak XV Partners and AdvantEdge.[5]

In February 2024, the company participated in India’s Unified Energy Interface (UEI) pilot, an initiative aimed at enabling open access to EV charging services across multiple platforms.[6]

Operations

Pulse Energy develops software used by electric vehicle charging network operators in India.[7] Its software is used to support coordination between multiple charging networks.

The company also operates a mobile application, InstaCharge, which provides information about charging stations operated by participating networks.[8]

In 2025, the company integrated the electric vehicle charging network operated by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) into its software platform.[10]
