1. Market Size & Growth The Indian diagnostic industry was valued at $10 billion in 2023 and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 12% over the next decade [4]. The industry is highly fragmented, with a mix of large diagnostic chains, hospital-based labs, and standalone pathology centers. 2. Key Drivers of Growth Increase in chronic diseases (diabetes, cardiovascular disorders, cancer). Rise of preventive healthcare and wellness diagnostics. Government push for digital health records and telemedicine [5] Rapid urbanization and access to advanced testing in semi-urban areas. 3. Major Players in the Indian Diagnostic Industry

These labs dominate the diagnostic services market, offering comprehensive pathology and radiology tests across India.

Challenges in the Indian Diagnostic Industry Despite rapid growth, the Indian diagnostic sector faces several challenges:

Fragmentation & Standardization Issues – A mix of corporate chains and unorganized labs leads to variable quality standards. Lost or Unorganized Reports – Patients often misplace their medical test reports, making it difficult for doctors to track their history. Lack of Interoperability – No unified system for health record management, leading to inefficient patient care. Duplicate Tests & Extra Costs – Repetitive testing due to missing reports increases patient expenses. Limited Digital Integration – Many small and mid-sized labs still rely on paper-based reporting.

Competitors of Piysan in India While Piysan is a unique digital health records platform, it competes with:

Practo – Offers teleconsultations and digital prescriptions, but lacks dedicated diagnostic record storage. 1mg (Tata Health) – Focuses on online pharmacy & lab tests but does not offer structured patient record management. DigiLocker (Government of India) – Provides general digital storage, but is not healthcare-specific. HealthPlix – Aimed at doctors for patient record management, but lacks patient-driven control over reports. MFine – Provides AI-driven diagnostics & telehealth services, but lacks integrated report tracking.
