The Phi Chapter of Kappa Theta Pi (ΚΘΠ, also known as KTP) is the 24th chapter of Kappa Theta Pi residing at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. KTP serves as a Professional Fraternity specializing in information technology. Members get experience in informatics, computer science, computer engineering, and other related fields. Membership
[edit]Kappa Theta Pi's process for membership follows standard Greek rush and pledge guidelines. The fraternity's rush process occurs in both Fall and Spring semesters. More info on the Phi Chapter's rush process can be found Here
Governance
[edit]The executive board of the Phi Chapter of KTP includes the President, Vice President of External Affairs, Vice President of Internal Affairs, Vice President of Finance, Vice President of Engagement, Vice President of Membership, Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of Professional Development, and Vice President of Technical Development. Non-Executive positions include the Judicial Chair and the Member Integration Director. Elections are held at the end of each spring semester, with all members who have been a brother for more than 1 semester are eligible to run.
Committees are headed by executive members, and are a requirement for members to join to foster development and growth of both individuals, and the fraternity itself. Some committees include the research, pledge, and software development committees.
History
[edit]The Phi Chapter was chartered on December 3, 2024. The Alpha class consisted of 30 members.
