Paul Peters (born August 23, 1964) is an American author, motivational speaker, and entrepreneur. He is the founder and owner of Covenant Case Management Services, a care provider in North Carolina that serves individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental health challenges, and substance abuse issues. He also founded The Nehemiah Project Covenant of Love, a nonprofit organization that addresses homelessness, veteran support, at-risk youth, mental health, addiction recovery, and domestic abuse. Peters is involved in real estate investment through Legacy Holdings and is a producer and executive producer with Abundance Studios. He hosts the television show On Purpose with Paul.[1]

Early life and education

Peters was born in Carbondale, Illinois, and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. He attended Homewood-Flossmoor High School, where he participated in gymnastics. He later graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a degree in psychology and studied philosophy at Southern Evangelical Seminary. Peters served as a chaplain in the New York jail system and later served in the United States Army for eight years, receiving an honorable discharge with the rank of First Lieutenant.[citation needed]

Career

Peters founded Covenant Case Management Services in North Carolina, providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health issues.

He later established The Nehemiah Project Covenant of Love, a nonprofit organization that offers services including mentorship, shelter, and advocacy for various vulnerable groups. In 2022, the organization opened a Mentoring Center aimed at supporting at-risk youth.

As a public speaker and author, Peters addresses topics related to personal development and purposeful living. He hosts the television show On Purpose with Paul.[2]

This book begins with a fictional narrative about a character named Tim who overcomes personal struggles to discover his life’s purpose. It combines strategies for personal, professional, and spiritual development with assessments and real-world examples.[3]

This book explores the value of wisdom in navigating life's challenges. Drawing on personal experience and biblical themes, Peters encourages readers to pursue a principled life.[4]

Success Redefined (co-authored with Jack Canfield)

This collaborative book focuses on redefining success beyond wealth and fame. It emphasizes the importance of planning, mentorship, perseverance, and personal growth.[5]

Personal life

Peters has three children. His youngest attends Clemson University, his middle child holds a double degree, and his eldest son lives at home under the care of a caregiver. Peters resides in Frisco, Texas.[citation needed]
