Early life and education
[edit]Paul Lin is an alumnus of the University of Oxford, Jesus College.[1] He was part of the Department of Education, University of Oxford, where he developed an early interest in how educational design and innovation can help address global challenges.[1] He was recognised by Forbes[2] and Study UK[3] for his significant contribution in quality education and social action.
He founded Know+, an award-winning education technology organisation, described as an “educational Netflix” for lifelong learning. Know+ creates learning, experience, and opportunities to inspire generations in the most critical issues of our humanity.[1][2] Know+ is proud to provides free access to over 1 million youth through schools to inspire them in critical issues of our times, such as sustainability, artificial intelligence, and social innovation.[1]
Paul Lin also supports the University of Oxford’s groundbreaking youth initiatives for schools. He led the launch of the Oxford Saïd–Know+ Climate Change Challenge China Region and serves as Co-Chair of the Competition.[1][4][5] This official Oxford University competition marks a milestone in the University’s history—its first global competition for schools, inviting students and teachers to develop innovative solutions to address urgent climate challenges.[1][4] The Challenge has grown rapidly, attracting over 1,600 submissions from 75 countries in 2025.[6] It aims to build a grassroots movement of young changemakers and educators who can develop locally relevant solutions with global impact.[4]
Paul takes a leadership role in the prestigious Oxford and Cambridge Alumni Society in Shanghai where he serves as the Vice-President.[1] Founded in 2000, it is the official alumni society of both universities and one of the largest international alumni groups in China, supporting over 2,000 alumni, facilitating events and communications of both universities.[1]
