PS Washington is a paddle steamer built for the Ocean Steam Navigation Company, more commonly known as the Bremen Line. PS Washington completed her first eastbound voyage on June 15, and was later joined by a sister ship, PS Hermann. Both of these ships were significantly slower than those operated by the Cunard Line, and the US Government revoked its contract with the Ocean Steam Navigation Company at about the end of 1847, awarding it to the Collins Line. And that it. If anyone can find more information on this ship, please do!
