OverallGPT is a web application that shows answers from several large language model (LLM) APIs side by side..[1][2][3]
It sends the user’s prompt to systems such as OpenAI GPT-4.5, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Meta Llama, and xAI Grok, then displays each unedited response in one view. This lets users compare how different models[4] handle the same question.
Background
[edit]OverallGPT was launched in public beta on September 23, 2024.[5] The startup is part of the UC Berkeley SkyDeck accelerator program.[6]
Functionality
[edit]- Realtime outputs – Sends the user prompt to each all available LLM and responses are streamed back at same time in side-by-side view.
- Highlight mode – An optional view that highlights most important and logical lines from each model to make contrasts easier to see.
- Custom model slot – Users can add an extra API endpoint and include it in the comparison.
- Media comparison – The platform can also compare images (e.g., DALL·E 3, Ideogram) and videos (e.g., Runway ML, Minimax).[5]
Use cases
[edit]Researchers, developers, and writers use OverallGPT to test prompts, check for hallucinations, choose a model for production tasks, and demonstrate model behaviour in classrooms or workshops[7]
Reception
[edit]Tech journalists note that benchmark scores are often published by model vendors themselves[8]; OverallGPT has been described as a way for users to “run their own benchmark in real time.”[1] The service appeared in the “model comparison” category on the directory *There’s an AI for That* and was featured on *Product Hunt* in January 2025.[9]
