The multi-domain artillery cannon (MDAC) is a wheeled self-propelled 155-millimeter artillery system in development by BAE Systems for the US Army.[1] The MDAC will be able to shoot down manned and unmanned aircraft, missiles, and artillery shells. It is expected to be highly automated, have a high rate of fire for increased lethality, and have a large ammunition capacity.[2] The MDAC will fire the Hypervelocity Projectile (HVP), also in development by BAE Systems.[3]

The MDAC system will consist of 8 cannons, 4 precision radars, and 2 multi-domain battle management systems, and a prototype is expected to undergo battery-level operational assessment by 2028.[2]
