Moxie is a companion robot marketed for children on the autism spectrum. The robot was released in 2020 by the company Embodied, and uses a large language model to communicate. Embodied went out of business in 2024, shutting down the robot's servers. In response, an open source software alternative was created by consumers to power the robot.
