A mimic panel, sometimes called a mnemonic panel or just mimic for short, refers to industrial process control panels and annunicator panels which feature a schematic diagram of the plant, they are often installed in water treatment plants, power plants, pumping stations, railways, fire alarm systems, security alarm systems, factories etc, they are also used in vehicles, most notably aircraft and some models of cars.

Electric lamps and various schematic symbols are used to represent the plant and state it is currently in.

Some mimics may use lamps behind a stencil, however modern mimics are typically based on Liquid-crystal displays, some mimics in the soviet union used Electroluminescent displays [1][2][3]
