Mile High Bomb is an American Adult animated comedy web series created by Anthony Reyes. The show revolves around 4 anthropomorphic teens, Jasper, Nyx, Ridge and Birch, living as students from between the ages of 14 and 16 in Denver, Colorado. They are accompanied by their other friends and recurring characters as they progress from teen-to-adulthood. The show features the adventures and events of the boys, as well as their problems in life. The show is not intended for children, as it features profanity, dark humor, violence and innuendo.
Episodes are usually completed within a 3-week range, with the first three episodes of the first season being pre-made months before its release. The show is made using FlipaClip, CapCut, ibis Paint X, and YouTube.
The shows debut is expected to debut on October 12, 2026 at around 11PM.
History
[edit]Since the production of Our Generation in early 2026, Mile High Bomb was conceived from an early drawing of Jasper, the show's main character, and later, the book Not What They Seem. The book officially set production for the show and introduced three new characters; Nyx, Ridge and Birch. Reyes wanted a show connected to Our Generation since being set in the same time period and setting, so he took the characters he made and developed it into a show.
Conception
[edit]In early 2026, Reyes drew a digital drawing of Jasper one night. Then he drew more of him and days later he wrote a book titled Not What They Seem, a book about Jasper and his friend Nyx as adults living in Brooklyn, 1998 as thugs or the "hood". Then, he developed this book into a show. Ridge was adapted as a brother to one of Our Generations characters, Cairo. He was drawn in many different designs and clothes, before sticking to an outfit reminiscent of Michael Jackson. Birch, was the last main character developed after inspiration from the release of Hoppers (film), and the biography of Jasper currently (residing in Portland, Oregon as of 2026).
Pre- production
[edit]Pre-Production mainly began creating the characters and focusing on Not What They Seem. When the book released on February 28, 2026, Reyes has an idea to have the book evolve into a show, then began developing the show from drawings and scenes. The name itself, is derived by aspects of late 1990s culture and Denver's "Mile High City" nickname, and "Bomb" as for 1990s hip-hop and "hood" talk and slang, as well as slang from Not What They Seem.
Production
[edit]As of March 2026, Mile High Bomb is starting production and its first three episodes will be developed soon. What is expected to be used for this show is FlipaClip, CapCut, Ibis Paint X, YouTube, and Picsart. Storyboards and Backgrounds, as well as logos and drawings will be made with Ibis Paint X. Animation will be used with FlipaClip, and editing will be used with CapCut and Youtube. Logos will also be used with Picsart.
Voice Acting
[edit]Voice acting, will be a Bark-text like sound for each characters voices, reminiscent of Animal Crossing. For example, a characters voice may sound like this: (232223232333453) speeded and pitched up two octaves to make the illusion of a voice rather then someone just reading off numbers. The voices may sound like gibberish and no one can understand, but there is text for each character displayed in the video, as no captions are needed.
Animation
[edit]FlipaClip is used for animating. Each scene is about 13-20 frames per second, and different traditional animating techniques are used. Scenes are started out as storyboards, before being transferred to the main project, with a rough draft layer first, then a final draft, which is the final product. Digital animation is important in this process, as paper storyboards are also debated. Other sources like ToonSquid is also used. For celebrities, cutouts of them are used and not animated. Animation is also reminiscent of South Park, as some characters do not have walk cycles and rather "hop" or move in the South Park style walking.
Music
[edit]The shows main music and theme is composed by Tommi-Christina Tsourapis, while some soundtracks in episodes are stock music or 1990s songs/movie soundtracks. The music in the show play a big role, as it sets the tone of the scenes and makes it emotional. Pianos and Keyboards are mainly used, while Reyes also composes some soundtracks, using GarageBand for Synth, Drum, Violin, and Electric piano.
Writing
[edit]Writing, done by Anthony Reyes and Tommi-Christina Tsourapis is used with Google Docs, and then storyboarding is done on Google Slides, and Ibis Paint X. Ideas from group chats for episodes would be dropped, and one idea from a member would come into play if liked and approved of. Deadlines for writing for an episode usually last for 5-7 days. Once every season, a poll is conducted to see if any member would like to assist writing for an episode and be credited as a writer.
Premise
[edit]The show revolves around four anthropomorphic teens, Jasper, an attractive and devious Owl, Nyx, a mischievous and low-spirited Alien, Ridge, a rude and furtive Bean, and Birch, a diligent and humorous Beaver. All live in the city of Denver, Colorado, in 1995, attending University of Colorado, and having an almost-average size friend group, about 5 to 9 friends total. The characters reflect off of 1990s culture, music and/or themes. Denver, in the shows context is also home to other recurring characters, and some guest appearances of characters from Our Generation. One of the characters, Ridge, hates Mormons and claims they are "unrelated only happy whites". Therefore, he hates Utah, and doesn't like passing it or being in it.
Jasper is a Great horned owl who almost always seeks attention and is attractive, as he has had 3 ex-girlfriends and 1 current girlfriend. He is devious, often acting pure and desperate to get his way. Sometimes, he actually is desperate for things. Nyx is a teal-colored Alien who is low-spirited and mischievous. He commits crimes to get his way without the police's knowledge, which may be the reason why he has breifly had a red mark on his face in the early episodes. Ridge is a pink-Bean who is very rude to anyone besides his friends, and is furtive. He is Nyx's "partner in crime" when doing something bad besides Jasper. He looks kind and happy from the outside, but is obviously not. He almost always never gets caught by police, and is feared by his school from murdering his girlfriend. Birch is a North American beaver from Oregon who works hard as a student, and is the "class clown" of his class and friend group. He often acts witty and cowardly and is rejected by girls easily. All live in the Downtown Area of Denver and are between the ages of 14 to 16. Although being the most immature teens of all the series, they do have proper education and have average grades. They also act mature in front of known adults to look like proper citizens. Various episodes feature something abnormal or bad happen to the characters and Denver itself. The show relfects not only from 90s culture, but progression from teen life-to-adulthood.
Censorship and Style
[edit]Since being a show for adults, Mile High Bomb has profanity, innuendo, mockery, violence, dark humor and "dirty" jokes. Being released on YouTube, the F-word and the B-word are bleeped out, despite being bark-text. The most profanity said is from Ridge, due to his temper and personality. Each episode ends with a Tongue-in-cheek fictional disclaimer reminiscent of South Park's opening disclaimer.
The show also consistently makes sexual jokes, depict moments of distress, and absurdist themes. Mile High Bomb uses 90s pop-culture in its episodes and satirizes it. They also satirize celebrities in humorous portrayals, which includes adding or reducing size to a celebrity, changing their look and/or voices.
Mile High Bomb's style is minimal, and is reminiscent of the "modern minimalist" and South Park style. Backgrounds are usually geometric shapes with signs, doors, and windows to make it look like a building. Characters are hand-drawn and some are also geometric shapes.
Release
[edit]Episodes are usually released on Youtube, FlipaClip, and on the Stupidity website, in a 16:9 aspect ratio format. The show is accessible from all devices, including apps on phones and tablets, websites on desktop computers and TVs. Additionally, it is not required to pay to watch. However, there is be a warning before watching an episode after clicking on it about explicit and violent content.
