Michael Goldade (b. 1980-1981) is an American Catholic prelate of the Society of Saint Pius X who is one of four priests who will be conserated bishops by the SSPX in July of 2026. Prior to this, he served as rector of St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Dillwyn, Virginia beginning in 2023 and in parish ministry in Michigan and Missouri.
Biography
[edit]Goldade was born in Williston, North Dakota in 1980 or 1981, and raised in St. Marys, Kansas. He has nine siblings, three of whom are religious sisters with the SSPX.[1][2] He entered seminary for the Society at the age of 18, being educated in Winona, Minnesota. Goldade was also ordained at the seminary in Winona in 2004 by Richard Williamson.[3][4]
His first assignment following ordination was at St. Anne Chapel in Armada, Michigan where he served for five years before serving as director of a retreat house in Ridgefield, Connecticut.[5][2] Beginning in 2014, Goldale was appointed prior of the SSPX in Kansas City, also having oversight for the parish church of St. Vincent, a school, and a community of sisters.[2] He also oversaw major renovations and restorations to the church.[6][7][8][9]
In 2021, Goldade was named assistant to the District Superior, and two years later was appointed as rector of St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Dillwyn, Virginia.[2][10]
