Melanie Doyle (born in Chicago, Illinois), professionally known as Mello Buckzz, is an American rapper from Chicago. She became known in the Midwest hip hop scene with her songs "Boom (Mouskatool)" and "Boom Pt. 2".[1][2]

Early life and career

Mello Buckzz was born and raised in Chicago. Details about her early life and entry into music have not been widely publicized. She began releasing music in the early 2020s and attracted attention for her collaborations and viral tracks.[3]

Musical career

Her single "Boom (Mouskatool)" has received over 3.5 million streams on Spotify, and its music video has surpassed 9 million views on YouTube.[3] The track features collaborations with Amari Blaze, Kashh Mir, and Moni Da G.

She later released "Boom Pt. 2," a collaboration with Atlanta rapper Latto, which expanded her audience beyond Chicago. In March 2025, she recorded the song "Hula Hoop" in a live session with BlockworkTV. In July 2025, she released the album Hollyhood.[4]

2025 Chicago shooting incident

On July 2, 2025, an album release event for Hollyhood at Artis Restaurant and Lounge in Chicago was the site of a mass shooting. A vehicle pulled up outside the venue, and gunfire was directed at people leaving the party. Four individuals were killed, and fourteen others were injured.[4][5]
