Maysoun Ibrahim
[edit]Maysoun Ibrahim is a Palestinian expert in Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D) and the [1]founding president of the Palestinian Syndicate of Technological Informatics. She has extensive experience across the public sector, academia, and private industry, where she led national technology projects and contributed to digital transformation strategies and national IT policies in Palestine.
Career
[edit]Ibrahim has been actively involved in national digital transformation initiatives and serves as a [2]member of the Board of Trustees at the Arab American University in Palestine (AAUP). She is also the Vice Chairperson of the Digital Transformation and AI Center at the same university and a [3]board member of the Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence in Palestine, where she heads both the Experimental Development and Incubation Committee and the Innovation Support Network.
In 2019, she chaired the National Forum on the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Internationally, she has been selected as a consultant for the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN-ESCWA), advising on sustainable smart cities, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, emerging technologies, and digital inclusion for Arab women.[4][5][6]

Awards and Recognition
[edit]Dr. Ibrahim has received several awards recognizing her contributions to scientific research, women's empowerment, and gender equality in technology. In 2016, she won Best Research Paper at the SMART2016 International Conference on Smart Cities in Valencia, Spain. She was the first Palestinian woman to chair strategic committees at the Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence.
