Flores is a two-time survivor of sexual assault and gender-based violence. Her personal experiences led her to become an outspoken advocate for survivors and gender equality.[2]

She founded Light Me Up, a program combining movement, voice, and performance to help survivors of trauma rediscover confidence and healing through creative expression.[2]

In 2017, Flores delivered a TEDx talk titled I’m Still Here, where she spoke about reclaiming one’s voice after trauma and the role of creativity in healing.[1]
