Comment: If he was judge on the Madras High Court, he meets WP:NPOL but none of the current sources supports he was. When I search the linked court website, I get no results for "Moorthy", "Narayan", "Narayan Moorthy" or any other combination. The link https://www.abhilekh-patal.in/jspui/handle/123456789/2846547 produces at 504 gateway error, https://riasm.unom.ac.in/ffaculty.html according to my firewall is a security risk so I can't review it and https://ethirajcollege.edu.in/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/NATIONAL-SYMPOSIUM.pdf is a list of lecture speakers. I no reason to believe he was not on the High Court but need a solid source that supports it. S0091 (talk) 19:21, 30 March 2025 (UTC)

Marsur Narayan Moorthy was an Indian lawyer and judge on the Madras High Court.[1] from 1981 until his death in 1983.
Life
[edit]Moorthy attended Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Chennai earning B.A. and B.L. degrees.[2]and enrolled as an advocate at Madras High Court on July 31, 1950. He worked as a junior under his Uncle noted Indian lawyer V. L. Ethiraj. was married to Dr. Kausalya Moorthy, an obstetrician.[3] The couple had two sons and two daughters. His elder daughter Priyamvada is a Psychiatrist in the United States.[4] His younger daughter Premalatha was head of the Ramanujan Institute for Advanced Mathematics at the University of Madras in Chennai.[5]
Moorthy worked for Ethiraj until Ethiraj's death in 1960.[6]He was offered judgeships in 1977 and 1978 but declined both times. He was appointed as an additional judge to the High Court on April 22, 1981 for a period of two years.[2]He passed away in June 1983.[7] There is an endowment at Ethiraj College for Women in his and his wife's name.[8]
