Lydekker's pangolin (Manis lydekkeri) is an extinct species of pangolin, in the genus Manis in the subfamily Maninae and the family Manidae, that inhabited Asia during the Late Pleistocene.[4][5][6][7][8]

Etymology Species: Origin of name from: Meaning of name: M. lydekkeri of the Manis genus and the name of the English naturalist and geologist Richard Lydekker (who found and described the fossil remains of this species) lydecker's mantis Description The only currently known remains of this species of mantis are a few finger joints found at fossil sites in southern India.[7]
