Lickd is a music licensing company[1] based in London, United Kingdom.[2] Lickd licenses popular commercial music to video content creators on platforms like YouTube, Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat.[3]
Lickd has partnerships to license commercial music with major music companies including Universal Music Group & Universal Music Publishing Group,[4] Warner Music Group & Warner Chappell Music,[5] Merlin Network,[6] BMG[7] and Empire Distribution.[8] Lickd also has a production music offering supplied by Audio Network.[9]
Platform
[edit]Lickd's primary audience is creators using YouTube; it has developed the proprietary software system VOUCH that integrates with ContentID to ensure that licensed usages of music are not subject to copyright claims.[10] Lickd's catalogue for UGC creators extends to 1.5 million songs, with a separate catalogue of 10,000 songs available to brands and agencies[11]
