  • OMBRA, an award-winning design and the first Kvik kitchen featuring surfaces made from recycled PET, later applied to all Kvik’s foil-finished kitchens.
  • OAKWOOD, a solid oak kitchen inspired by traditional Danish craftsmanship, which has also received design awards.[3]

Kvik Living

[edit]

In 2024, Kvik expanded its product range by launching Kvik Living, its inaugural furniture collection. Designed in collaboration with Danish agency Hansen Thyge & Co, the collection includes dining chairs, barstools and a lounge chair, all crafted from recyclable and FCS®-certified materials.[4]

Collaborations

[edit]

Kvik has collaborated with several Danish designers and studios to develop kitchens, furniture, and interior solutions. Notable collaborations include:

  • Rikke Frost – Designed the “Align” kitchen, presented at 3Days of Design in Copenhagen. The kitchen features warm materials, soft edges, and natural oak, emphasizing craftsmanship and sensory experience.[5] Frost discussed the concept in Kvik’s podcast The Sociable Kitchen® [6], focusing on the balance between aesthetics and functionality.
  • Hansen Thyge & Co – Contributed to furniture and interior solutions for Kvik Living, including dining tables, chairs, and shelving.[4]
  • Says Who – Worked on kitchen designs such as OMBRA and CORISA, as well as bar stools, lamps, and furniture under Kvik Living, highlighting Nordic minimalism and the use of durable materials.[7]
  • Bly Studio – Collaborated on furniture and interior solutions that combine functionality with contemporary design for residential and workplace settings.[8]

ESG efforts

[edit]

Kvik integrates environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into its operations. The company uses Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) in its offerings, employs flat-pack logistics to reduce transport emissions, and incorporates recycled materials in its products. Kvik is FSC® certified (license code FSC® C104647) and participates in a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for renewable electricity in collaboration with sister companies.[9]
