Kevin Barenblat is an American nonprofit leader. He is the co-founder and president of Fast Forward, a nonprofit focused on scaling technology-driven solutions for social good. Barenblat is also known for his writing on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the social sector.
Early life and education
[edit]Kevin Barenblat studied engineering at Stanford University before earning an MBA from Harvard Business School.[1]
Career

[edit]Before founding Fast Forward, Barenblat worked in various technology startups and Adobe. His experience in both early-stage and established firms shaped his perspective on the potential for technology to drive social impact.
Fast Forward
[edit]In 2014, Barenblat co-founded Fast Forward, recognizing a gap in support for nonprofits using technology to address critical social challenges. At the time, Fast Forward was the only accelerator exclusively focused on tech nonprofits.
Under Barenblat's leadership, Fast Forward has:
- Supported over 100 tech nonprofits
- Provided funding, mentorship, and strategic guidance to organizations tackling issues in education, climate change, healthcare, social justice, and more.
- Helped entrepreneurs secure funding and scale their solutions
AI for Humanity & Thought Leadership
[edit]Barenblat is a strong advocate for the ethical use of AI in social impact. He writes the newsletter AI for Humanity, where he explores the intersection of artificial intelligence, nonprofits, and social good.
He has contributed thought leadership pieces to publications like Stanford Social Innovation Review and TechCrunch and has spoken at conferences, including TEDAI[2]
