Katherine May Colvin (born December 27, 2001) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for USL Super League club Fort Lauderdale United FC. She played college soccer for the Texas A&M Aggies.

Early life

Colvin is a native of Magnolia, Texas. She started playing club soccer for ECNL team Texas Rush before joining the Houston Dash's developmental academy in 2017.^[2] She gained experience as club captain for two of the Dash academy's youth age groups.^[3] In the summer of 2019, she was invited to train with the Dash's NWSL squad, helping fill in for roster absences caused by the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.^[4] Colvin also played one season of soccer for Magnolia High School,^[5] leading the team to an undefeated district season as a freshman. She was named first-team all-district and the district's midfield MVP after recording 10 goals and 5 assists in that year.^[6]

College career

Having grown up nearby Texas A&M University, Colvin had been interested in playing college soccer for the Aggies from a young age.^[7] Although she would eventually play as a forward, she joined the program listed as a midfielder.^[8] In her freshman season, she played in 15 matches (starting 6) and helped Texas A&M win the SEC regular season championship.^[2] In the ensuing SEC tournament, she scored her first collegiate goal in the Aggies' semifinal defeat to Vanderbilt on November 19, 2020.^[9]

Colvin had a breakout season in 2022,^[10] scoring four goals, leading the team in assists, and playing in all 21 of the Aggies' matches.^[11] However, she struggled with injuries in her final two years of college. As a senior, she started in 4 of her 11 appearances, tallying one assist in the SEC tournament semifinals against Georgia. She returned for one final season as a graduate student in 2024, coming on as a substitute in all 13 of her appearances. She departed from Texas A&M having totaled 78 appearances and 12 goals.^[2]

Club career

In the 2025 NWSL preseason, Colvin returned to the Houston Dash, this time as a non-rostered trialist for Houston's NWSL squad.^[12] She did not make the Dash's final roster.

On July 18, 2025, USL Super League club Fort Lauderdale United FC announced that they had signed Colvin ahead of the team's second season of play.^[10] Colvin made her professional debut on October 4, 2025, coming on as a late-game substitute for Stella Nyamekye in a scoreless draw that helped extend Fort Lauderdale's unbeaten start to the season to six matches.^[13]
