Kanda Software is an U.S.-based information technology consulting provider founded in 1992.

The company specializes in software and artificial intelligence engineering, as well as cloud transformation primarily for healthcare[5][6]. It also provides software services for a variety of other industries, including life sciences, aviation, real estate, nonprofit organizations, advertising and marketing technology, as well as independent software vendors (ISVs)[7]. As of 2026, Kanda Software has three operating offices in the United States, located in Newton, Massachusetts, Midtown Manhattan in New York City, and Alameda, California. Outside the United States, the company maintained offices in Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan)[8] and Central America (Costa Rica)[9].

Kanda Software employs more than 850 people worldwide. The company follows a distributed delivery model combining U.S.-based leadership, product and delivery managers with global engineering teams[3]. Kanda Software is an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Advanced Tier Services Partner, and holds an additional AWS Healthcare Competency[6]. Kanda software has a division managing healthcare and life sciences software development. Kanda has developed platforms for electronic health and medical records, patient portals and engagement platforms, care coordination systems, and clinical workflow software, including mobile applications. Other solutions include laboratory information management systems (LIMS), telehealth and virtual care applications, software for medical devices[5] and software as a medical device (SaMD), and remote patient monitoring applications[13].

In life sciences, pharmaceutical industry and biotechnology the company specializes in software and AI engineering, as well as system integration across research and development, drug discovery, manufacturing, clinical trials, operations and commercialization areas. The company also architects, develops and launchs software solutions for real estate, travel and aviation, insurance, nonprofit, advertising and marketing organizations as well as ISVs[14].

Kanda Software was founded in 1992 by Alex Karpovsky. In 2014, the company was included in the Inc. 5000 list for the first time, ranking 459th among the fastest-growing private companies in the United States[15]. In 2018, Kanda Software became one of the leading mobile app developers in the United States, based on market presence and service offerings[12].

In April 2019, LifePod’s Virtual Caregiver and Trapelo’s precision medicine platform for oncologists, developed in partnership with Kanda Software, received a Best of Show award in the Patient-Focused Software category at the Bio-IT World Conference & Expo in Boston[16]. As of 2020, Kanda provided over 35 000 software applications for healthcare[5].

In July 2021, the company opened an office in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan[8]. In April 2023, Kanda received the Health Tech Digital Award for its WorkPass COVID-19 workplace management solution[17].

In 2024, the company won two Globee Awards for Customer Excellence[18] and Technology[19]. The same year, the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) included Kanda Software in its Global Outsourcing 100 list for software development, agile development operations (DevOps), corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, innovation, and customer references[20].

In 2024, Kanda Software reported revenue of $158.4 million[4]. That same year, Kanda Software was recognized on the Inc.5000 list for the 9th year[21].

In May, 2025, Kanda Software became a healthcare competency partner of Amazon Web Services (AWS)[6]. On August 7, 2025, the company upgraded its ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 for its information security management systems[22]. In 2026, Kanda was included in the Global 100 list produced by IAOP[23].
