Kosal Visal
Kosal Visal (born 2000) is a Cambodian medical student and healthcare volunteer. He is recognized for his involvement in community health outreach programs and contributions to public health initiatives in Cambodia.
Early life and education
Kosal Visal was born in Kandal Province, Cambodia. He is pursuing a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the University of Puthisastra in Phnom Penh. During his studies, he has participated in clinical rotations across various hospitals and medical departments in Cambodia.
Medical training and volunteer work
Visal has completed clinical training in several prominent hospitals:
- Phnom Penh Municipal Referral Hospital – externship in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Preah Ang Duong Hospital – externship Rotation in the Otorhinolaryngology (ENT/ORL) department.
- Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital - externship in the Urology center
- Preah Ket Mealea Hospital – Over three years of experience in the Visceral Surgery department.
He has also volunteered with national medical campaigns and organizations. In recognition of his dedication during the COVID-19 pandemic, he received a certificate and a commemorative pin from the Hun Many Medical Volunteers program.
