John Rodrigue should link here
John C. Rodrigue is a historian in the United States. He is the Lawrence and Theresa Salameno Professor in the Department of History at Stonehill College. He previously taught at Louisiana State University.[1] He won the won the 2024 John L. Nau III Book Prize in American Civil War Era History for his 2023 book Freedom's Crescent: The Civil War and the Destruction of Slavery in the Lower Mississippi Valley.[2]
A video recording was made of him discussing his book Freedom Crescent.[3] He was the general editor for the college-level textbook Louisiana: A History published by Wiley.[4] In 2018, he was gave a presentation at Boston University.[4]
A review of his book on Abraham Lincoln and the Reconstruction era, describes it as a "concise account" discussing the evolution and inconsistencies in Lincoln's political and intellectual leadership.[5]
