JetSpeed is a professional wrestling tag team consisting of Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey. The team is currently active in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and has also competed for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and on the independent circuit. JetSpeed became widely known to AEW audiences in mid-2025 through their involvement in the storyline with Ricochet’s faction The Demand.
The duo began teaming in mid-2025 after Bailey’s arrival in AEW, quickly earning attention for their combination of Knight’s aerial agility and Bailey’s high-speed striking offense. JetSpeed made their first major AEW appearance on August 24, 2025 at AEW × NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 during the Zero Hour pre-show, teaming with Michael Oku in a six-man tag team match against Ricochet and Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona). Despite a strong showing, JetSpeed and Oku were defeated by Ricochet’s team, marking JetSpeed’s official AEW debut.[1] Following their debut, the duo appeared in matches on AEW Collision and AEW Rampage, positioning themselves as an energetic underdog team within the AEW tag division. They became more widely known to AEW audiences during their involvement in the ongoing storyline with Ricochet’s villainous faction The Demand later that summer.
Background
[edit]Before forming JetSpeed, both members had already established themselves as dynamic performers on the international wrestling scene. Kevin Knight began his career as part of the LA Dojo class of New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) under the guidance of Katsuyori Shibata. Known for his explosive dropkick and athletic style, Knight gained recognition as one of NJPW STRONG’s breakout stars, often teaming with other LA Dojo graduates on U-S based shows.[2] Mike “Speedball” Bailey built an impressive résumé across the Canadian and Japanese independent circuits, earning acclaim for his lightning-fast kicks and martial-arts inspired offense. Bailey’s international success included championship runs in promotions such as DDT Pro-Wrestling in Japan and a high-profile stint in Impact Wrestling, where he became known for his fast-paced, high-risk style.[3]
The two first crossed paths in 2024 on several independent cards and at NJPW STRONG tapings in the United States. Initially meeting as opponents, their athletic styles earned mutual respect, and they occasionally teamed up in exhibition matches for STRONG and DEFY Wrestling.[4]
In mid-2025, following Bailey’s official signing with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), the two announced they would join forces as a full-time tag team under the name JetSpeed. The team name reflects Knight’s “Jet” nickname earned for his soaring aerial maneuvers combined with Bailey’s “Speedball” persona, symbolizing a fusion of aerial agility and rapid-fire striking offense.[5]
Their complementary skill sets Knight’s explosive dives and dropkicks paired with Bailey’s precision kicks and high-tempo pacing were quickly recognized as a fresh addition to AEW’s deep tag-team division. By the summer of 2025 the newly-formed JetSpeed entered the AEW spotlight, becoming one of the promotion’s most talked-about up-and-coming teams.
History
[edit]Formation and AEW debut (2025)
[edit]After months of occasional teaming on the independent circuit and NJPW STRONG events in late 2024, Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey officially joined forces under the name JetSpeed in mid-2025 following Bailey’s signing with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The pairing brought together Knight’s aerial agility and Bailey’s rapid-fire striking offense, quickly making them stand out in AEW’s crowded tag-team division.[6]
JetSpeed made their first major AEW appearance on August 24, 2025 at AEW × NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 during the event’s Zero Hour pre-show, teaming with Michael Oku in a six-man tag-team match against Ricochet and Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona). Despite a competitive showing, JetSpeed and Oku were defeated by Ricochet’s trio, marking JetSpeed’s official AEW debut.[7]
Rivalry with The Demand (August–September 2025)
[edit]In the weeks following Forbidden Door, JetSpeed continued to appear on AEW Collision and AEW Rampage, often positioned as a high-energy underdog team. Their most notable storyline in AEW’s summer programming came from their connection to Ricochet’s newly-formed villainous stable The Demand, which officially debuted the same night JetSpeed lost to them at Forbidden Door.[8] The association with that feud helped elevate JetSpeed’s profile despite their early losses.
JetSpeed went on to wrestle additional televised matches against established AEW teams such as FTR and The Acclaimed throughout late August and September 2025, further solidifying themselves as part of the promotion’s emerging tag-team roster.[9]
