Jacob Lloyd (born 1996) is a British animal cruelty investigator, social entrepreneur, and the founder of the Animal Welfare Investigations Project, an international organization specializing investigating organised animal cruelty.

Early Life and Education

Jacob Lloyd developed an interest in animal protection from a young age.[1] Jacob has several qualifications and certifications in animal cruelty investigations, open-source intelligence, and covert surveillance. He is a Certified Animal Cruelty Investigator through the University of Missouri Law Enforcement Training Institute (LETI) in the United States.[2]

He is a Founding Member of the UK OSINT Community.[3]

Career

In 2021, Jacob Lloyd founded the Animal Welfare Investigations Project, which conducts investigations into organised animal cruelty worldwide. His work has been featured in industry publications.

Jacob Lloyd organized the Animal Welfare Investigations Conference[4], a virtual conference that brought together law enforcement officials, forensic scientists, and intelligence experts to share knowledge and strategies to combat animal cruelty.

Jacob Lloyd has been a guest on multiple podcasts and industry panels to discuss the use of OSINT in animal cruelty investigations. His public speaking engagements include appearances at the UK OSINT Community[5], Authentic8[6] and the International Society for Animal Forensic Sciences.

Jacob Lloyd currently resides in the United Kingdom and continues to lead AWIP's intelligence and investigative work while pursuing his passion for animal welfare advocacy.
