  • Comment: The official website does not contribute to notability as it is non-independent. This leaves at most one source to contribute to notability, which is unfortunately not a good enough case for notability. Sungodtemple (talkcontribs) 22:42, 30 April 2025 (UTC)

Hydra Launcher is an open-source game launcher created by an Brazilian piracy community, often referred to as the "Steam of Piracy"[1] It integrates a built-in BitTorrent client, allowing users to search for, download, and organize pirated games directly within the interface without the need for external websites or clients.[2]

[edit]

While Hydra Launcher itself does not host or distribute pirated games, it facilitates access to pirated content, which may infringe on copyright laws. In Brazil, downloading pirated media is considered illegal, but enforcement is often limited, particularly with decentralized platforms like Hydra Launcher.[1] The use of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) can further obscure the user's location, making it more difficult for authorities to track and penalize individuals for piracy.[3]
