Historical Archive of Norwegian Landscape Architecture (ANLA) was established in 2014 by the School of Landscape Architecture (ILA) at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). Covering collections from the early 20th century to the present, ANLA documents the evolution of Norwegian landscape architecture from public parks and gardens to large-scale hydropower planning, urban development, and cultural landscape preservation. It serves as a vital research infrastructure for studying Norwegian landscape architecture and history.[1]
ANLA is a founding member of the Network of European Landscape Architecture Archives (NELA) and plays an active role in European research initiatives.[2] As a partner in the COST Action "ConnectLAA" (2024–2028), it contributes to enhancing landscape practice, research, and education across Europe.[3]
