Hidden City or Hidden City: Hidden Object Adventure (previously known as Hidden City: Mystery of Shadows) is a free-to-play hidden object game.[1][2] It was developed by H.S. Happy Star Games Limited and published by G5 Entertainment in 2014.
Gameplay
[edit]Hidden City is a hidden object game.[3][4] Players are given a list of items to find before time runs out. After successfully completing a task, they earn points and receive useful rewards. In addition to searching for objects at different levels, the game also features puzzle-solving mini-games.
The game has a 3D map of the city with different locations. There are different "Exploration Modes" in the locations.[5] Every location is an integral part of the storyline, helping to reveal the mystery of the City.
G5 Entertainment regularly releases updates with the new content, such as additional locations, quests and events.[6]
Monetization
[edit]Hidden City is a free-to-play game that utilizes the freemium model of monetization.[7][8] Players can also use real-life money to buy in-game currency.
Popularity
[edit]Hidden City received mostly positive reviews thanks to its graphics and a storyline that offers a fair level of challenge.[9][10][11][12]
However, while the game has its cons, some players find the pace too slow and the mini-games uninspiring.[13]
