Hasset Dereje Admassu (born 2005) is an Ethiopian beauty queen and model.She gained international recognition after being crowned Miss World Ethiopia 2024 and subsequently achieving first runner-up at the 72nd Miss World pageant in 2025, where she was also honored with the title of Miss World Africa.[1][2][3]
Early Life and Education
[edit]Hasset was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She attended Lideta Catholic Cathedral School for her secondary education. Currently, she is pursuing a degree in chemical engineering at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU) . Fluent in both Amharic and English, Hasset is also known for her Christian faith.[4]

[edit]In 2024, Hasset was crowned Miss World Ethiopia, earning the opportunity to represent her country at the international Miss World competition.
Miss World 2025
[edit]At the 72nd Miss World pageant held in Hyderabad, India, in May 2025, Hasset achieved:
- First Runner-Up: She secured the position of first runner-up, marking the highest placement ever achieved by an Ethiopian contestant in the pageant's history.[5][6][7]
- Miss World Africa: Hasset was awarded the title of Miss World Africa, recognizing her as the top contestant from the African continent.[8]
