Hasib Linux (also known as Hasib OS) is an Arab Linux distribution developed by the Hasib OS Team.[1] It aims to deliver a lightweight, Arabic-localized, and privacy-respecting operating system for both everyday users and developers.[2]
Overview
[edit]Hasib Linux provides Arabic-first localization, open-source educational tools, and compatibility with most modern Linux software repositories. Its mission is to empower Arab users with a system that values simplicity, transparency, and performance.
History
[edit]The project was created by the Hasib OS Team and first released publicly in 2025.[1] A book titled What is Hasib OS was distributed by Ameer Majed on Zenodo and Internet Archive.[2]
