FarmMind is a United States–based agricultural technology company that develops an artificial intelligence–powered agricultural intelligence and farm management platform. Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the company provides software designed to help farmers and agricultural professionals access research and operational data using conversational artificial intelligence, mapping, and weather information.

The company was originally launched under the name FarmSmarter.ai and rebranded as FarmMind in 2024 as its platform expanded beyond research assistance into a broader agricultural management system.

History

FarmMind was founded on May 3, 2024, by Colin Raby, Grant Muslow, and Julius Pallotta while they were affiliated with Louisiana State University.[1] The company was incorporated in Louisiana and developed with support from university entrepreneurship programs and regional innovation initiatives.[2]

The company initially operated under the name FarmSmarter.ai, focusing on simplifying access to agricultural research through artificial intelligence. On September 15, 2024, the company rebranded as FarmMind to reflect the expansion of its platform to include operational tools such as mapping, weather data, and farm-level intelligence.[3]

FarmMind was later selected as a participant in the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Ag Innovation Challenge, a national competition focused on agricultural startups.[4]
