FTNSS is a United States-based fitness marketplace that enables travelers to find and book short-term gym access. The platform allows users to browse participating fitness centers and purchase day, week, or month-long passes without requiring long-term memberships. Available through a mobile app and web platform, FTNSS has been described as "Airbnb for gyms."

History

[edit]

FTNSS was founded in 2024 by Jordan Robinson, a queer entrepreneur of color. The idea stemmed from Robinson’s personal challenges finding flexible workout options while traveling. FTNSS was created to provide commitment-free fitness access to users on the move.

The consumer-facing mobile app launched on the Apple App Store on October 25, 2024. In June 2025, the company released a separate product, FTNSS Partner, designed for gym owners to manage their listings and bookings.

Platform and Features

[edit]
  • Short-Term Gym Access: Users can search for gyms by city, amenities, or workout type, and book day passes, weekly access, or month-long memberships.
  • No Long-Term Contracts: The app enables fitness access without subscriptions or recurring charges.
  • Direct Digital Booking: Users can browse, pay, and check into gyms directly through the FTNSS mobile interface.
  • Gym Management Portal: FTNSS Partner gives gym operators a web-based dashboard to manage pricing, availability, and usage data.

Reception

[edit]

FTNSS has been positively received by early users for its ease of use and flexibility. Gym operators have noted the platform’s potential to attract new customer segments and fill underused capacity.
