Eveon Containers is a digital platform for buying used shipping containers. The company provides a fully online customer experience, focusing on accessibility, transparency, and sustainability.

History

[edit]

Founded in 2020 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, the startup was the first, fully digital commercial container shopping platform. The business launched in Germany and Austria.[1]

The company entered the United States market in July 2021, initially offering containers from Newark, New Jersey, before expanding its operations nationwide.[2][3]

In 2022, Eveon Containers entered the Canadian market, offering services in major regions such as Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario.[4] This growth was part of the company's broader strategy to digitize the global supply chain and make container purchasing more accessible.[5]

In August 2024, Eveon announced the establishment of its North American headquarters in Charleston, South Carolina, located in the historic Cigar Factory at 701 East Bay Street.[6][7] The new office houses the Marketing and Customer Care teams.[8][9] Henry McMaster, the governor of South Carolina, congratulated Eveon Containers on its continued investment in Charleston County with the addition of new jobs and positioning the company as a global leader in logistics and technology.[10]
