Ernest Cu is a Filipino businessman who held the position of President and CEO at Globe Telecom, known provider of mobile networks in the Philippines.[1]
Education
[edit]Cu earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management Engineering (BSIME) at De La Salle University (DLSU) in the Philippines in 1981. He then obtained Master in Management degree with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, and Operations Management at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in the USA.
Career
[edit]Following his graduation, Cu began his career at Bank of America. In 1997, he was appointed as president and CEO of SPi, a business process outsourcing (BPO) firm with a workforce of 30. Under his leadership, the company expanded to 900 employees. Mr. Cu was formally appointed as President and CEO on April 2, 2009, which was less than a year after he began his tenure at Globe in October 2008. He has held the position of Director since April 2009 and is a member of the Board's Executive Committee.
