An Early Site Permit is a permit granted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. It grants construction of one or more nuclear facilities. An Early Site Permit is valid for 10-20 years after it is issued. The parent company of the power plant may renew the permit to give the permit 10-20 more years.
