Devon Ross is an Canadian-American model, actress, and musician. She began her career in fashion, working with brands such as Gucci, Valentino, and Vivienne Westwood, before transitioning into acting with a role in the HBO miniseries Irma Vep (2022). In 2024, she released her debut extended play, Oxford Gardens.
Early life
[edit]Ross was born in Toronto, Canada and was raised between The Bahamas, Woodstock, New York, and Los Angeles.[1] She is the daughter of guitarist Craig Ross and model and photographer Anna Bauer.[2] She became interested in music at a young age and cited The Beatles and The Rolling Stones among her early influences.[3]
Career
[edit]Ross began her career as a model, working with fashion houses such as Gucci, Valentino, and Vivienne Westwood.[2] She was featured in British Vogue and appeared in campaigns and runway shows throughout the late 2010s and early 2020s.[1]
In 2022, Ross made her screen debut in the HBO miniseries Irma Vep, directed by Olivier Assayas. She later appeared in the horror films Vindicta (2023) and Depravity (2023).
Ross released her debut extended play, Oxford Gardens, in February 2024 through Daydream Library Series.[1] The EP includes the singles “I Don’t Wanna,” “Swim,” and “Killer.”[3][2] Her music has drawn comparisons to artists such as Patti Smith, Kim Gordon, and Sonic Youth.[1] She has cited personal experiences, including a breakup, as lyrical inspiration for the release.[3]
Personal life
[edit]Ross splits her time between Los Angeles, and London.[1][2] She has expressed interests in vintage guitars and film, citing directors such as John Cassavetes and actors like Gena Rowlands as inspirations.[3]
