Defcon Zero are a street punk band based in London.Defcon Zero[1]

The Restarts were formed in 2006 in west London with from the ashes of 17 Stitches and Throw Bricks At Coppers. Leo Stich being the singer, while Seamus O'Hooligan plays bass with Ben Zero on guitar and Monkey Boy on drums. From 2011 to 2013 Jyrki "Spider" Hämäläinen was the second guitarist in the band.[2] Spider later became known as the author of the first Killing Joke biography.[3]

Their debut album Music For Gluesniffers, Terrorists & The Mentally Ill was released in on bonfire night in November 2011.[4] Big Cheese magazine described it as "fucking angry and bloody good at it." and received 3/5 stars.[5] The title itself was lifted from a review.[6] Another review described it as " thrashy hardcore with topical lyrics that aren’t afraid to make a point".[7]

The album appeared at number 9 in the The 10 most underrated UK punk albums of all time in Metal Hammer.[8]
