Darshankumar Joshi (born 27 December 1989) is an Indian entrepreneur, AI expert, and art director.[1] He founded GraymatterOnline LLP and Coeus Digital Media and contributed to visual projects like The Invisible Man (2020), Mortal Kombat (2021), and The Suicide Squad (2021).[2] In 2022, he co-produced Ilm, one of India's first NFT-funded films, released on Disney+ Hotstar.[3] He is also known for his advocacy on autism awareness and educational equity.[4]

Early life and education

Joshi was born and raised in Navsari, Gujarat, and displayed early interests in the arts, including music, poetry, and cooking, alongside strong academics.[4] He later earned an advanced IT diploma from the University of Sunderland and both a Bachelor's and PhD in Business Computer Science from the University of Greenwich.[3] Joshi has also shared his experiences on the autism spectrum and how they shaped his resilience.[3]

He began his career in southern Gujarat, then held positions including application developer in France, SEO consultant for a UK firm, and senior IT specialist at Aimtron Corporation.[5][6]

GraymatterOnline LLP

Founded in 2018, GraymatterOnline wove AI, AR/VR, and Web3 into marketing campaigns for films like Aquaman (2018), The Invisible Man (2020), and The Last of Us Part II (2020).[1][2] In 2021, he also led digital and influencer marketing for Gujarat Tourism.[1]

Coeus Digital Media

In 2022, Joshi expanded globally with Coeus Digital Media LLC, establishing offices in Dubai and New York, serving as Chief Technology Officer and leading digital transformation initiatives.[6]

Joshi transitioned into the film and game industry, contributing to visual effects and art direction in: *The Predator* (2018), *The Invisible Man* (2020), *Mortal Kombat* (2021), *Army of the Dead* (2021), and *The Suicide Squad* (2021).[2][4] His producer credit includes the NFT-funded short film *Ilm* (2022) on Disney+ Hotstar.[3]
