He is widely recognized for his recordings of piano-based interpretations of hymns and modern worship songs, which are featured across major streaming platforms and his popular YouTube channel.

The Lofi Christian
[edit]Dan Musselman is the founder of The Lofi Christian, a project dedicated to creating instrumental Christian music that blends lo-fi aesthetics with worship themes. The Lofi Christian is a collaboration effort of several musicians and artists who create Christian music and animations.
In 2024, Musselman collaborated with The Lofi Christian on the album A Work In Progress, which includes tracks like "As I Am (w.i.p.)" and "Your Love Is An Ocean."[3]
Early Life and Education
[edit]Musselman began playing piano at the age of five. He pursued formal music education at McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, Minnesota, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance in 2008. He graduated summa cum laude, was salutatorian, and received the “Outstanding Student Award”.[4][5]
He continued his studies at the University of Minnesota, obtaining a Master of Arts in Music Composition in 2012 and a Ph.D. in Music Composition in 2015.[6][7]
