Submission declined on 1 June 2025 by CoconutOctopus (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Entries should be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources. Please rewrite your submission in a more encyclopedic format. Please make sure to avoid peacock terms that promote the subject.

Darrin Davis (born April 13, 2003), known professionally as DDPresents, is an American recording artist, mixing engineer, and record producer based in Los Angeles. He founded Rising Uncovered Studios, an independent music production platform. Davis has collaborated with artists such as Trinidad Cardona, Smokepurpp, and NO1-NOAH, producing music across hip hop, R&B, pop, trap, and electronic genres. According to Muso.ai, he has over 700 music production and engineering credits as of 2025.[1][2]
Early life and education
[edit]Darrin Davis was born in Portland, Oregon and raised in Camas, Washington. In middle school, he joined the choir and performed vocal solos, developing an interest in music. In eighth grade, he began experimenting with music production using Audacity (audio editor), learning techniques such as equalization, compression, and multitrack editing.
While at Camas High School, Davis used FL Studio to record and produce music with local artists in the Pacific Northwest. After graduating, he earned an Associate of Arts degree from Clark College in Vancouver, Washington. He later attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences (CRAS) in Gilbert, Arizona, studying studio engineering, post-production, sound design, and live sound.[3]
YouTube and early career
[edit]Davis launched a YouTube channel under the name DDPresents, posting original music, remixes, and behind-the-scenes content. The channel has gained over 25,000 subscribers and six million views.[4][5]
In 2022, Davis engineered and was featured on the single "MIA," with artists including $teven Cannon, Nessly, Crape, and Paycheck. The track was covered by Rap Fiesta for its collaborative lineup.[6] That year, he founded Rising Uncovered Studios, a platform providing audio engineering, mixing, and digital marketing services to independent musicians, with operations in Portland, Los Angeles, and Phoenix.
Music Career
[edit]In 2024, Davis appeared in an interview on the YouTube series Jimmy’s JamBox (Episode 415), discussing his career, influences, and production approach.[7] He has collaborated with artists including NO1-NOAH, Trinidad Cardona, Smokepurpp, 645AR, and Kamiyada+. His productions include "Stay" with NO1-NOAH and Steele 11, "Dark Knight" with Smokepurpp and Almighty Jay, "SPACESHIP" with DJ3EEZY and 645AR, and "Smile" with Trinidad Cardona. In 2025, he released the collaborative album "MVP," featuring tracks across trap, R&B, and hip hop genres.[8][9][10]
Technical expertise
[edit]Davis is proficient in digital audio workstations including Pro Tools, FL Studio, and Audacity (audio editor). His production setup includes a Warm Audio WA-47 JR microphone, Universal Audio Volt 4 interface, and WA Headroom headphones, with plug-ins from Antares Auto-Tune, Melodyne, FabFilter, and SSL. He received training in signal flow, patch bay routing, and audio systems at CRAS, gaining experience in studio operations, game audio, and multimedia integration.[11]
Studio internships
[edit]During his time at CRAS, Davis interned at Demŭn Studios in Phoenix, Arizona, assisting with tracking sessions and promotional content. In 2025, he began interning at Apex Arts Studios in North Hollywood, handling session setup, equipment management, and media post-production.
Real estate career
[edit]Since 2022, Davis has worked as a licensed real estate agent with eXp Realty LLC in Vancouver, Washington, focusing on residential transactions in Clark County. He uses digital media for property marketing.[12][13][14][15]
