Cormac Thompson (born 2009) is a British singer-songwriter known for his classical crossover recordings and national television appearances. He gained attention during the COVID-19 pandemic for his viral online performances, which led to a contract with Decca Records at age 11. Thompson’s debut album Hear My Voice charted in the UK, Australia, and France, and he has since performed on major platforms including ITV’s This Morning and Britain’s Got Talent. He was the 2023 recipient of the Josie Music Award for International Vocalist (Young Adult).
Career
[edit]Thompson began singing publicly in 2020 during the UK’s COVID-19 lockdown. In 2023, he independently released his second album, A Borrowed Gift, featuring material produced or arranged by Mike Batt, Ferris, and Cohen. The album documents his vocal transition from soprano to baritone.

[edit]Thompson attended Chetham's School of Music in Manchester and has performed at Bridgewater Hall, Manchester Cathedral, and the Royal Albert Hall with the Salvation Army.
