Class Saathi is an educational technology platform by TagHive. It combines Bluetooth--enabled clickers and a mobile application to facilitate classroom assessments and real-time feedback in areas with low-connectivity.

According to India’s Press Information Bureau, as of 2025, Class Saathi was used by over 500,000 students in India and in other countries such as South Korea, Vietnam, and South Africa.[1]

Class Saathi was selected in the UNICEF Learning Cabinet, with media reports noting improvements such as 9–15% increases in test scores and reductions in classroom assessment time.[2][3][4]

In 2025, TagHive launched SaathiGPT, an AI module within the Class Saathi ecosystem designed to assist with quiz generation, feedback, and adaptive learning.[5]

History

[edit]

TagHive was founded in 2017 by Pankaj Agarwal, an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and Harvard Business School, and a former executive at Samsung Electronics.[6]

In 2018, the concept for Class Saathi was developed under Samsung’s C-Lab program.[7]

Class Saathi was first launched in South Korea in 2019 and was adopted by around 450 schools in its first year.[8]

Pilot programmes in India began in 2020. According to Inc42, a pilot project in the Chiraigaon block of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, involved over 1,500 students across 34 schools, with 20 schools forming an experimental group and 14 a control group.[9]

Later in 2020, as part of a government initiative, Class Saathi was implemented in 2,000 schools across Madhya Pradesh covering 52 districts.[10]

Evaluation and Independent Studies

[edit]

As of 2025, no peer-reviewed academic study has been published evaluating Class Saathi’s learning impact. Most impact data, including attendance, score gains, student engagement, derive from company submissions and internal reports rather than external evaluations. Independent studies have not yet validated the reported outcomes.
