History

[edit]

Claroty is a cybersecurity company that specializes in protecting cyber-physical systems (CPS) with a primary focus on industrial, healthcare, public sector, and commercial environments.[1] The company was founded in 2015 by Galina Antova, Amir Zilberstein, and Benny Porat. It is headquartered in New York City with offices in London, Seoul, Singapore, and Tel Aviv.

Major Milestones

[edit]

In September 2016, Claroty exited stealth mode[2], announcing $32 million in Series A funding, and the availability of the Claroty Platform[3], designed to secure operational technology (OT) networks and industrial control systems. The company’s flagship technology, Claroty Continuous Threat Detection (CTD), was the centerpiece of the platform release. CTD is on-premise technology that provides visibility, threat detection, and asset management for OT.[4]

In March 2017, Claroty relocated its global headquarters from Tel Aviv to New York City.[5]

In June 2017 the company announced the addition of Claroty Secure Remote Access (SRA) to its solutions portfolio[6] (SRA was later renamed Claroty xDome Secure Access in May 2024).[7]

In May 2018, Claroty announced the launch of its channel program for resellers, integrated solution partners, and managed services providers[8]. To date, the company has amassed a list of partners and technology alliances including AWS, Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, Siemens, and many others.

In July 2020, entrepreneur Yaniv Yardi joined the company as CEO.[9]

In July 2021, the company launched its threat research arm, known as Team82[10]. Team82 has since identified several cyberattacks on OT, medical, and internet-of-things (IoT) devices such as IOCONTROL[11], and has done extensive research on threat groups such as CyberAv3ngers[12] and the BlackJack group and its Fuxnet malware.[13]

In December 2021, Claroty secured another $400 million in funding[14]. This paved the way for several milestones in the following year, including the acquisition of healthcare and medical device security startup Medigate[15]. Eight months after the acquisition, Claroty leveraged Medigate’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) infrastructure to launch its own SaaS platform, Claroty xDome.

By February 2023, Claroty reached $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR)[16].

Accolades and Awards

[edit]

In February 2025, Claroty was named a Leader in the inaugural Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for CPS Protection Platforms, positioned highest for Ability to Execute and furthest for Completeness of Vision among 17 evaluated vendors[17]

In September 2025, Forrester Research named Claroty a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: IoT Security Solutions, Q3 2025, an independent evaluation of nine of the most significant IoT security solutions providers[18].

Claroty (and previously Medigate, before the acquisition) has received the Best in KLAS award for Healthcare IoT Security from KLAS Research for five consecutive years (2021-2025)[19].

For four years in a row, the company has been named to the Forbes Cloud 100 (2022-2025) and the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 (2021-2024).

Claroty is a Great Place to Work® certified company in the U.S.[20] and the U.K. (April 2025-April 2026)[21]
