It provides advanced technology such as DC fast chargers, a user-friendly mobile app for locating and managing charging sessions, and operates charging stations powered partly by renewable energy, supporting sustainability goals.[1][2][3]
History
[edit]chargeMOD deployed its first EV Charger in 2019, followed by their deployment of Pole Mounted EV Chargers across Kerala in association with KSEBL.[4]
In August 2023, chargeMOD has raised ₹25 million (US$300K) from Phoenix Angels in a pre-seed investment round to ramp up their expansion.[5]
Pole Mounted EV Chargers
[edit]chargeMOD’s pole-mounted EV Charging Stations for the Kerala State DISCOM KSEBL was the first of its kind in the nation. These public charging stations, which were swiftly installed around Kerala, are making tremendous headlines.[6]
Traits of the Pole-mounted EV Charging Stations:
- The KSEBL owned ubiquitous Distribution poles are being used for setting up of the charging station and the charger capacity is 3.3 kW.
- The charging points can be used for charging 2, 3 & 4 wheelers.
- Charger can be upgraded to higher capacity as per advancements in the future and Installation is easy and can be rapidly deployed within a time period of 2 days.
- Charging Stations are managed by a Software and CMS. EV users can download the application and do the EV charging effortlessly.
- Stations are less expensive, low tariff can be offered to the common man.
The project was done in collaboration with KSEBL.
